Talisman

One of my other hobbies is jewelry making and I'm often inspired by the tarot in my designs. I recently created this pendant based on the Wheel of Fortune as something of a comfort object. I guess you could say it's like a spiritual fidget spinner, but you probably shouldn't. 

I don't want to get ahead of my process, but the Wheel and I have a history. Early on I loathed it because it would very frequently show up in my readings and vex me. It seemed to be mocking me by saying I had no control. After a while I realized what it was actually trying to say was this: though the wheel of fate is perpetually turning, you have ultimate control of your own destiny. This pendant is a reminder of that lesson. I can spin it when I'm feeling anxious (always) or need to contemplate something. It's comforting, but the points are sharp as a reminder of the sometimes cruel nature of fate. The chain binds it to me, and as a Scorpio I am fixed and immovable.
