Psychology

The link between Tarot and psychology is one of the many junctions that exists between science and magic. I won't pretend to be an expert on this, but I think it's important to point out that tarot isn't just some new age nonsense. 

The cards can speak to so many people because they contain universal symbols that reflect the human experience. They are a pictorial representation of the collective unconscious.

Tarot reading when used for self reflection is basically Jung's concept of individualization in practice. I.e. we can find wholeness and a complete sense of self through the integration of the conscious and the unconscious. 

It's also not a coincidence that the Persona series I talked about before deals with the concept of 'personas' and 'shadows.'
