Prism Tarot Dice

What is a Tarot Die?

They are 4-sided dice created with 3d printed resin. Each side represents one suit of the minor arcana and displays the symbol of the suit, it’s corresponding cardinal direction, and element.

How is it Used?

I created these to be open to use and interpretation. There is no right or wrong way to use them, but here are some suggestions:

Quick, intuitive decision-making - Use the die like a compass and ask which path to travel. Mentally attribute your available options to each side before rolling.

Situational Perspective - Ask yourself through what lens you should be approaching a situation. Cups would be emotional, swords would be rational, pentacles would be grounded, and wands would be your gut reaction.

Tarot Reading Clarification - You can use the die to call on the energy of the Minor Arcana when it is not available to you (either if you’re using a majors-only deck, or drew only major arcana cards). The minor arcana represents the four worlds or aspects of life, emotional, mental, physical, and creative, so when the majors are indicating a major event or shift in your life, you can use the die to decipher which aspect is going to be most influenced by that.

It is said that the major arcana represent the “why” of a situation, and the minor arcana represent the “what.” A why with no what can definitely be confusing to process so this clarification can be very helpful. Additionally, you can use a ten-sided die to get a more exact minor arcana reading.

Tarot Spreads - There is a spread I designed to use the dice called The Compass in which you roll to choose a direction. You can make up your own spreads that use it as well.

Play - I designed a game that uses the tarot dice and the prism tarot together. Some people use them for D&D for things like spell casting or decision-making.
